Dear A.R. Members,

In reply to the numerous enquiries which the administrative team has received pertaining to the closure of the Discus Classifieds section of this forum, the forum administrative team would like to clear the air with regards to speculations and gossips which we have also gathered in the process of revamping the forum for the betterment of the community.

The classifieds section has been an integral part of the local discus hobby. With it comes certain responsibilities expected of the forum by any discus enthusiast or commercial person. As a community forum, we seek to preserve and if possible enhance the hobby. In the process of fulfilling this purpose, the classifieds section had affected the hobby in good and bad ways.

We have decided to undergo a change in perogatives and have decided to go into a phase of restructuring and re-organizing our efforts. This will hopefully address the problems which the forum has caused over the years to the market.

As much as we are glad that many have benefitted from the forum the past eight years, we also sincerely apologize for any inconveniences caused to anybody in the midst of operating this site for the community.

We hope that impending changes to be made will continue to benefit the hobbyist in all of us, while alleviating inconveniences which the classifieds have caused thus far.

Postings of a commercial nature will be temporarily stopped. For anyone who wishes to do sales on a commercial level, please private message (pm) sky and you will be informed when such an infrastructure has been built and ready to be implemented. For sales which are non-commercial, please do wait for the new structure to be up again so that you may continue to enjoy free classifieds facility.

Commercial-nature postings would include all who breed to sell. This includes anyone regardless of whether he owns a commercial entity or a farm/breeding facility of sorts.

Non-commercial-nature postings would include giving-up hobby sales, loose sales of fish and non-regular postings of discus sales.

Due to the thin line between Commercial and non-Commercial postings, Discus Classifieds will therefore be temporarily closed as definitions are defined and regulations drafted out.
